2 Ingredient Natural Homemade Hand Soap Recipe

Kayla Ruetten
Make your own 2-ingredient natural homemade hand soap—simple, toxin-free, budget-friendly, and gentle on sensitive skin.

Equipment

  • foaming soap dispenser
  • pint-sized mason jars (If you already own pint-sized mason jars, all you need are these screw on tops to turn the liquid into foam. If you do not have any pint-sized mason jars, you can use these soap dispensers.)
  • castile soap (we like this brand)
  • water (tap water is fine)

Ingredients

  • 12-16 oz water (use boiled or distilled water if soap will not be used up within a few weeks)
  • 2-3 tbsp castile soap

Instructions

  • Fill your foaming soap dispenser with water, leaving 1 inch of head space.
  • Add 2-3 tablespoons of liquid castile soap to the water.
  • Close the lid and shake lightly to mix.
  • Use as you would any foaming soap.

Notes

  • Add the water BEFORE the soap, or too many bubbles will be created.
