Healthy Homemade Avocado Mayo Recipe
Kayla Ruetten
Creamy, tangy, and packed with nutrients—this healthy homemade avocado mayo is a delicious and clean alternative to store-bought versions. Made with wholesome, real-food ingredients, it’s perfect for the GAPS Diet, Paleo, Whole30, and dairy-free lifestyles. Great for spreading, dipping, or mixing into your favorite dishes!
- 1 pc egg
- 2 tspn lemon juice
- 1/2 tspn salt
- 1/2 tspn yellow mustard
- 1 cup avocado oil
Add egg, lemon juice, salt, and mustard to a wide mouth mason jar or pyrex bowl. Next, use an immersion blender to blend the egg until it is white and creamy (about 1 minute or less). Add the avocado oil slowly into the jar while blending. Continue blending until the avocado oil is fully mixed (about 2 minutes). It is helpful to start at the bottom of the jar and slowly bring the immersion blender up to work it in.That's it! Simple and delicious- don't forget to lick the spoon! 🙂
Recipe Variations:
- Add homemade ranch powder for a delicious ranch dip for veggie sticks. Our kids LOVE to dunk their carrot sticks in this dip!
- We like to add garlic powder or fresh garlic cloves, because we like garlic on just about everything.
- If you do not have lemons or lemon juice on hand, you can substitute with apple cider vinegar. This will create a slightly tangier mayo.
