Cucumber Cream Dill Salad
This refreshing cucumber cream salad is the perfect summertime side dish, bursting with fresh dill flavor and creamy goodness. We eat this dish nearly every day when we have garden cucumbers and dill available, and all winter we look forward to eating it again. If you are not a fan of dill, you can substitute with cilantro, parsley, other favorite herbs, or just omit.

Cucumber Cream Dill Salad Recipe Variations
Enjoy several variations of this recipe, depending on preferences, herb, and veggies you have available. A few variations we enjoy are:
- Fresh chives or scallions in place of onions
- Finely chopped cabbage when we less cucumbers are available
- Adding cilantro for a different flavor option
- Eating over salad or grilled chicken
Other Favorite Summer Time Salad & Side Recipes
Meal planning is one of our 5 home systems that help make motherhood better, easier, and more fun! I enjoy having a handful of favorite herbs, veggies, and pantry staples on hand and combining them in different ways to make new flavor variations. Most of our recipes use ingredients that are GAPS, Paleo, & Whole30 compliant. A few of our favorite summer time salads and sides (that use similar ingredients) are:
- Chicken Bacon Cilantro Ranch Salad
- GAPS Diet Egg Salad
- Fermented Dilly Beans
- Paleo Ranch Dip

- Milk Kefir Artichoke Spinach Dip
- Paleo Fermented Pickles
- Mango Cilantro Salsa
What is GAPS Diet Cultured Cream?
Cultured cream, kefir cream, sour cream, or crème fraiche are different names that all refer to the same fermented cream product. Because home-fermented dairy is much easier to digest than commercial dairy products, even those with dairy sensitivities can often eat it. Try using cultured cream as a substitute in recipes that call for cream or sour cream, such as ice cream, soups, lattes, smoothies, cake frosting, and desserts. Even those of us with lactose intolerance or dairy sensitivities can have our cream and eat it too! See this post for the simple instructions how to make your own cultured cream. If you are able to consume commercial dairy, you can use sour cream in this recipe.
